Montreal, Canada — Côte d’Azur France Tourisme successfully concluded its North American promotional tour with a strategic final stop in Montreal, marked by a professional workshop held at the Honeyrose Hotel. The tour followed prior visits to Houston, Chicago, and Boston, highlighting the Côte d’Azur’s growing presence in key U.S. and Canadian markets and supporting the launch of new direct flights between Boston and Nice.
Organized by Atout France Canada, with the support of Mélanie Paul-Hus, Marine Alméras, and Carole Larocque, M.B.A., the event brought together leading tourism professionals and media representatives from across Canada, including Mickael Casol, President of CASOL, who participated in the official exchanges.
The workshop was led by Alexandra Borchio-Fontimp, French Senator of the Alpes-Maritimes and President Delegate of Côte d’Azur France Tourisme, alongside Claire Behar, General Director of Côte d’Azur France Tourisme. The delegation engaged directly with key stakeholders to reinforce the destination’s visibility and strategic positioning within the Canadian market.

The Montreal workshop convened an influential group of industry leaders and media representatives, including:
• 44 leisure tourism and MICE (Meetings, Incentives, Conferences & Exhibitions) professionals
• 13 Canadian media representatives
These high-level exchanges underscored the importance of the Canadian market and opened the door to new collaborations and long-term synergies.
A central focus of the discussions was the promotion of the Côte d’Azur as a four-seasons destination, particularly appealing to Canadian travelers and “snowbirds” seeking a mild Mediterranean climate during the winter months.
Key themes included outdoor and nature-based experiences, winter golf, hiking and cycling, cultural heritage, sustainable mobility, and gastronomy — all reflecting the region’s commitment to refined, diversified, and sustainable tourism.
The destination’s accessibility is further reinforced by direct flights between Montreal and Nice Côte d’Azur Airport operated by Air Canada, confirming the strong growth potential of the Canadian market.
The Montreal stop, placed under the emblematic sign of the mimosa — a traditional herald of winter festivities on the French Riviera — marked the conclusion of a dynamic and productive North American tour, rich in exchanges and future perspectives.
Côte d’Azur France Tourisme extends its sincere thanks to all partners, including Air Canada, Air Canada Vacations, tourism professionals, and media representatives, for their commitment, trust, and collaboration.
À très vite en Côte d’Azur France!
